Marketing Program Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Marketing Program Manager reports to the Manager of Sector Marketing Programs. The Marketing Program Manager works closely with sales, business development, product management, marketing, and other teams to plan, execute, manage, and measure marketing programs that create demand and serve the existing Perceptive Software customer base.

  • In conjunction with team members, shape overall marketing strategy for assigned sector (e.g. Cross Industry, Healthcare, Higher Education, and Public)
  • Develop and ensure the execution of marketing strategies that result in meeting or exceeding demand generation and revenue targets for the sector.
  • Establish key demand generation goals using market trends, historical data, company revenue targets, and other data; monitor and report on performance.
  • Work closely with sales, business development, product management, direct marketing, corporate communications, creative, product marketing and other teams to ensure that Perceptive Software products and services are appropriately visible in the marketplace.
  • Responsible for establishing and managing the sector marketing budget
  • Guide sector marketing teams in translating strategy into the necessary online, trade show, telemarketing, advertising, public relations and other programs that result in a comprehensive marketing plan for the assigned business sector. Ensure that each sector is optimizing content, customer segmentation, and messaging strategies in all programs.
  • Ensure that each sector marketing program is properly chartered, documented, monitored and analyzed for success or failure; report program results and adjust strategies and tactics, as necessary
  • Work closely with the rest of the marketing program team to ensure that all marketing programs are cohesive and complimentary
  • Work closely with marketing leadership to ensure that overall corporate marketing goals are being met

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate must:

  • Be a strong independent researcher and concise communicator with the ability to understand and develop messages for a wide range of issues and audiences
  • Be disciplined, organized and demonstrate the ability to lead others to success. Experience managing teams, either in a matrix-managed or direct reporting structure, is a plus
  • Be able to understand and translate highly technical information to a lay community
  • Be able to prioritize, delegate and manage multiple, potentially conflicting, tasks
  • Be able to work effectively with a creative workforce
  • Have 6-10 years of demand generation, marketing program, and/or channel marketing experience at a technology company; demonstrate proven results

Marketing Program Specialist

  • Manage marketing program costs within an established budget.

Manager of Sector Marketing Programs

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Manager of Sector Marketing Programs reports to the Senior Manager of Marketing Programs and leads a group of Marketing Program Managers and Marketing Program Specialists who are responsible for sector-specific planning, integration, and execution of marketing and demand generation campaigns. The Manager of Sector Marketing Programs works closely with sales, business development, product management, marketing, and other teams to plan, execute, manage, and measure marketing programs that create demand and serve the existing Perceptive Software customer base.

The Manager of Sector Marketing Programs:

  • Has strong strategic planning experience and an ability to guide program development resulting in hitting lead and revenue targets.
  • Ensures sector-specific plans, campaigns and initiatives leverage industry and company best practices, are clearly defined, and align with broader company and Marketing goals.
  • Works with each Marketing Program Manager (MPM) to explore and define new ideas/approaches, document projects, detail, execute or delegate tasks, and quantify/report results, including budget and campaign metrics.
  • Oversees consistent management and reporting of metrics and budgets for each sector, ensuring plans, programs and initiatives are properly chartered, documented, monitored and analyzed for success or failure.
  • Works cross-functionally with individuals and groups throughout the organization, including: product marketing, product management, sales, creative, corporate communications and other departments to refine and define processes to support and enhance the quality of these various marketing initiatives.
  • Works closely with marketing leadership to ensure consistent messaging, assess campaign effectiveness, and secure adequate resource allocations.
  • Confidently interacts with executives, peers, and other team members through strong written and verbal communication.
  • Helps aligned and non-aligned team members maximize resources and prioritize projects and initiatives.
  • Works closely with Marketing Program Managers to ensure programs are cohesive and complimentary
  • Works closely with senior management to ensure that overall corporate marketing goals are being met

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must:

  • Have a minimum of 10-15 years strategic marketing and/or marketing program experience.
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years previous team management experience, with confident coaching/mentoring abilities of other professionals.
  • Have strong working knowledge of and experience using a variety of campaign tactics for maximum results including digital, print, event, telemarketing, and integrated.
  • Have a strong knowledge of CRM applications and marketing tools with a preference for salesforce.com and Eloqua.

The Senior Marketing and Web Analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Programs and is responsible for the ongoing analysis of marketing and web information obtained from a variety of sources including industry and analyst, primary research, financial, CRM, and web site data that provide business decision support and insight related to demand generation and corporate marketing goals.

  • Perform complex data analysis from a variety of sources in support of standing and ad-hoc requests including demand generation forecasting and trend analysis, marketing campaign effectiveness, web site analysis, and other customer-focused, data-driven efforts that provide business decision support and insight.
  • Analyze business, marketing, and web site data from conceptualization through presentation using proven statistical methods

  • Have 1-3 years of event management experience including organizing, planning, execution, and post-event reporting; demonstrate proven results
